EVERETT– Everett Mayor Cassie Franklin will deliver the annual State of Everett address on Thursday, March 5 at the Historic Everett Theatre, sharing the city’s accomplishments from the past year and outlining priorities for the year ahead.

Hosted by the Greater Everett Chamber of Commerce and presented by FASTSIGNS and The Boeing Company, this year’s event carries the theme “Everett Takes the Field.” The theme reflects a city on the move, from major civic investments to new sports and community assets, and the teamwork that drives progress across city departments, neighborhoods, and the local economy.
“I’m excited to share my annual State of the City address, highlighting the progress we’ve made and my vision for the future of Everett,” said Mayor Franklin. “We’re building on strong momentum by investing in public safety, expanding housing options, strengthening neighborhoods, and supporting a growing, resilient economy. Our focus is simple: make Everett the best place to raise a family, get an education, run a business, find a career, and live a good life.”
The program will touch on Everett’s continued economic growth, public safety efforts, housing initiatives, neighborhood investment, and the role of collaboration in moving the city forward. The “Everett Takes the Field” theme also nods to the city’s expanding sports presence, including a new outdoor stadium, professional baseball success, the arrival of men’s and women’s professional soccer, and Everett’s role as an official FIFA Fan Zone in 2026.
Additional event sponsors include Rubatino Refuse & Recycling, Cedar Grove, Eckstrom Industries, and Levi Mason.
Guests will enjoy light tailgating-style bites and a cash bar. The event will take place at the Historic Everett Theatre, located at 2911 Colby Avenue, Everett.Tickets are $35 for members and $55 for non-members. Doors open at 4p.m. with the program beginning at 5:15p.m.
