MONROE—Around 6:30 a.m. today, Snohomish County deputies responded to reports of a shooting in the 7800 block of 206th Drive NE. Upon arrival, deputies located the victim, a 38-year-old woman, with multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported by aid to Providence Regional Medical Center.

During the investigation, deputies learned that a 19-year-old male suspect, Tristan Weeks, had arrived at the residence and held a 17-year-old victim at gunpoint. Weeks allegedly strangled the teen girl who attempted to disarm him. When the teen’s mother intervened to help her daughter, the suspect shot her multiple times before fleeing the scene.

Lake Stevens Police located the suspect vehicle traveling within their city and took the suspect into custody without incident. The vehicle was seized as evidence pending a search warrant.
The 19-year-old suspect was arrested and transported to the Snohomish County Jail where he was booked for Assault 1 DV, Kidnap 1 DV, Assault 2 DV, Assault 4 DV, and five counts of Assault 1 (non DV).
