Multi-vehicle collision on US-2 near Gold Bar leaves three dead

GOLD BAR—Washington State Patrol is reporting a fatal collision involving three vehicles and five people occurred on Thursday near milepost 31, approximately 2 miles northeast of Gold Bar.

At approximately 5:17 p.m., Colin Brown, 30 of Mill Creek, in a White 2016 Ford Fusion was traveling westbound on US-2 near milepost 31 when his vehicle allegedly crossed the center lane striking, head on, a 2023 Ford F150 driven by James Khezri, 56 of Woodinville.

A third vehicle, 2025 Honda CR-V, driven by Kenzie Kosatria, 20 of Seattle, then struck the Ford F150 and came to rest in a ditch off the eastbound shoulder.

Brown, Khezri and his female passenger Elham Javadi, 52 of Woodinville, were pronounced deceased at the scene of the accident. Both Kosatria and his 19-year-old female passenger were taken to Providence Medical Center.

No alcohol nor drugs are suspected as contributing factors to the incident, WSP reports.
