Unlock Small Business Success at Business Builder Expo

LYNNWOOD—Economic Alliance Snohomish County (EASC), in partnership with the Washington Small Business Development Center (SBDC), will host the Business Builder Expo, the premier event in the North Puget Sound for entrepreneurs looking to kickstart, scale, or grow their businesses. Presented by the City of Lynnwood, and in partnership with The District – Lynnwood, US Bank, and Business Health Trust, this one-day expo is designed to strengthen the regional small business ecosystem and equip entrepreneurs with the tools they need to succeed.

Designed to support entrepreneurs at every stage of their journey, the Business Builder Expo will deliver practical education, expert guidance, and meaningful connections to help small businesses move forward with confidence. Whether participants are shaping a new idea, launching a startup, or preparing to expand, the Expo provides targeted resources and actionable strategies to support business success. 

“Small businesses are the backbone of our regional economy,” says Ray Stephanson, President & CEO of Economic Alliance Snohomish County. “The Business Builder Expo brings together the expertise, resources, and partnerships necessary to help entrepreneurs navigate challenges, seize new opportunities and build resilient, thriving businesses here in Snohomish County.” 

“The City of Lynnwood is proud to present the Business Builder Expo and support entrepreneurs who are driving economic vitality in our community,” says Mayor George Hurst of the City of Lynnwood. “Small business owners will be able to come together, learn from regional experts, and gain the skills necessary to grow their business.” 

The Expo will feature a full day of panel discussions and hands-on workshops addressing some of the most pressing challenges and opportunities facing today’s entrepreneurs. Session topics include: 

  • Alternative financing options for small businesses 
  • Selling to the government 
  • Cybersecurity essentials 
  • Turning business ideas into real-world impact 
  • Tax preparedness strategies 
  • Licensing and permitting guidance 
  • Leveraging AI to improve efficiency 
  • Harnessing digital advertising for business growth 

In addition to educational programming, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in lender matchmaking sessions, offering dedicated time for one-on-one conversations with financial institutions to explore funding options and next steps. 

A catered lunch will include a keynote presentation from Amy Sallin, Director of the Buerk Center for Entrepreneurship at the University of Washington’s Foster School of Business, who will share insights on innovation and entrepreneurship in today’s evolving business landscape. 

The event will also feature a robust Resource Fair, bringing together lenders, financial institutions, marketing and branding agencies, business advisors, government agencies, legal and compliance services, and other organizations committed to small business success. Exhibitor booths remain available for organizations interested in connecting directly with entrepreneurs and small business owners. 

General admission includes access to all panels and workshops, entry to the Resource Fair, participation in lender matchmaking sessions, networking opportunities, and complimentary lunch. .
