EVERETT — It just got sweeter at the Port of Everett’s Waterfront Place with Menchie’s at the Marina now open at Fisherman’s Harbor “Restaurant Row,” bringing its popular self-serve frozen yogurt experience to the waterfront.

Menchie’s joins a growing lineup of locally owned businesses helping shape the next phase of Waterfront Place as a vibrant waterfront destination.
The new frozen yogurt shop arrives during an exciting second wave of restaurant openings at Waterfront Place. Tapped Public House opened earlier this month, while Rustic Cork Wine Bar and The Net Shed Fish Market & Kitchen both debuted in December 2025. Marina Azul Cocina & Cantina is expected to open early this spring, and the Port continues its search for a breakfast and brunch café to round out the final space in the new building.
Menchie’s at the Marina offers a self-serve frozen yogurt experience with mix-it-yourself flavors and toppings. Options include a variety of flavors with nonfat, low-fat, tart, sorbet, no sugar added, dairy-free and gluten-free options also available. The new shop will also serve fro-yo cakes and offer event catering. The shop is also a popular community partner for fundraisers. It will donate 20% of total sales during fundraisers and co-owner Leah Solis-Karl said the team is actively looking for non-profit organizations to partner with.
Owners Joe Karl and Leah Solis-Karl, who also operate the Menchie’s location at Canyon Park Commons in Bothell, said opening in Everett feels a bit like coming home. Joe keeps his 28-foot fishing boat moored in the Port’s South Marina, and Leah previously worked nearby at Naval Station Everett earlier in her career.

“Opening Menchie’s at the Marina is incredibly meaningful for us,” said Joe Karl, co-owner of Menchie’s at the Marina. “We’ve loved serving Snohomish County through our Bothell and Marysville stores, along with our Menchie’s food truck, and we’re excited to continue building something special for our community here in Everett.”
“This store truly represents a family effort,” said Leah Solis-Karl, co-owner, and U.S. Air Force veteran. “From our team members to our families helping with the business, we’re proud to bring the fun, welcoming Menchie’s experience to the Everett waterfront.”

Port leadership and elected officials’ reaction
“Menchie’s at the Marina is a fun, family-friendly addition to our growing Waterfront Place. Thousands of families visit the waterfront each year to walk our waterfront trails, play in our parks, attend our events, or spend a day on the water, and a treat from Menchie’s is just the right thing to make some sweet memories.”
— Lisa Lefeber, Port of Everett CEO/Executive Director
“There has already been a lot of buzz about Menchie’s opening here at the Port, and we know you’ll bring a smile to all ages – thank you. I also want to thank our Port staff for getting this new building to the finish line.”
— David Simpson, Port of Everett Commissioner
“Everett’s waterfront continues to grow as a vibrant place for our community to gather, and we’re excited to welcome Menchie’s to the neighborhood. When businesses choose to invest in Everett, they’re investing in our residents, our economy, and the future of our city! When new businesses open, we see new energy in our community and new opportunities for families and visitors to enjoy everything Everett has to offer.”
— Cassie Franklin, Mayor of Everett
