Greater Everett Chamber to Host “Game On Everett” Lunch & Learn on World Cup Fan Zone Plans

EVERETT—The Greater Everett Chamber of Commerce will host a special Lunch & Learn on April 8 focused on Everett’s plans for the 2026 FIFA World Cup Fan Zone, bringing together regional partners to share how the city is preparing for one of the world’s largest sporting events.

Titled “Game On Everett: Everett’s Game Plan for the FIFA World Cup Fan Zone,” the event will provide local businesses with an inside look at the watch parties, waterfront activations, and community programming planned during the tournament, along with practical ideas for how they can participate.

Everett has been selected as a Fan Zone community during the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will be hosted across North America with matches in nearby Seattle. The designation is expected to bring thousands of visitors to the region and create opportunities for local businesses to connect with residents and visitors during the tournament.

“This is a global moment for our region,” said Wendy Poischbeg, CEO of the Greater Everett Chamber of Commerce. “Everett has an opportunity to show up in a big way. We want local businesses to understand what’s planned and how they can be part of the energy and excitement that the World Cup will bring.”

The program will highlight how regional partners are collaborating to create an engaging Fan Zone experience in Everett while supporting local businesses and neighborhood activations.

Speakers include:

  • Tyler Chism, Economic Development and Marketing Manager, City of Everett
  • Tammy Dunn, Executive Director, Snohomish County Sports Commission
  • Cat Soper, Business Development Director, Port of Everett
  • Wendy Poischbeg, CEO, Greater Everett Chamber of Commerce

Topics will include the “Game On Everett” destination campaign, neighborhood watch party concepts for local businesses, and the official waterfront Fan Zone events planned at Boxcar Park. Attendees will also learn about regional sponsorship opportunities and ways businesses can plug into the broader World Cup programming.

The Lunch & Learn will take place Tuesday, April 8, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Apex Everett. Tickets are $35 for Chamber members and $45 for future members, and lunch is included.

The event is designed for business owners, hospitality leaders, tourism partners, and community organizations interested in helping Everett make the most of this global event.

Registration is available through the Greater Everett Chamber of Commerce www.everettchamber.org.
