EDMONDS – The Cascade Symphony Orchestra has received a $13,000 grant from the Hazel Miller Foundation to support the nonprofit music organization’s cultural and educational efforts during its 2019-20 season in Edmonds and the surrounding communities of Snohomish County.
“The Cascade Symphony is delighted to receive a Hazel Miller Foundation grant for the fourth consecutive year,” said Arnie Gunderson, Cascade Symphony Orchestra president. “We appreciate the foundation’s support of the arts, and in particular, its focus on the youth in our community.”
The foundation’s latest grant to Cascade Symphony will be used to ensure continuation of the orchestra’s annual Children’s Concert held each February, and to provide funds to assist financially challenged elementary and middle school music students with their tuition and fees that allow them to attend the Edmonds School District’s Summer Music School.
The Hazel Miller Foundation is a private, nonprofit foundation dedicated to the citizens of Edmonds and South Snohomish County. Its grants are designed to serve nonprofit organizations operating in Edmonds and South Snohomish County.
