Truck hits Marysville ballot drop box, ballots remain safe

EVERETT, Wash., August 2, 2021 – The Marysville ballot drop box is temporarily closed after the box was accidentally damage by a truck on Monday. All ballots remained safely inside the Marysville ballot drop box. All deposited ballots have been removed by elections staff and will be processed.

The box has been locked and wrapped until repairs can be made or a replacement box can be installed.  Elections staff will be onsite today to assist voters.

Tuesday, August 3 is Primary day.  Voters are encouraged to place their voted ballots in the mail (check the last pick up times) or return their ballots at another drop box.  The nearest ballot drop boxes to Marysville are at:

  • Arlington – Smokey Point Lowe’s, 3300 169th Pl NE, Arlington
  • Everett – Everett Community College (behind WSU building), 1001 N Broadway, Everett
  • Tulalip – Youth Center, 6722 Totem Beach Rd, Tulalip
