LYNNWOOD, Wash., October 9, 2021 – For its 6 p.m. Monday, October 11 BUSINESS MEETING the Lynnwood City Council will discuss/vote on the following items:
- Briefing: Annual Comprehensive Plan Amendments
- Ordinance – Adopt LMC Update for Development and Business Services code references
- Ordinance – Adopt LMC Update to Animal Licensing requirements
- Ordinance: Elimination of Lynnwood Vehicle License Fee

Transportation Benefit District Background
On May 24, 2010 the Lynnwood City Council approved Ordinance #2837 that formed the Lynnwood Transportation Benefit District (TBD) and adopted a new chapter to the Lynnwood Municipal Code, 12.14, entitled “Transportation Benefit District”. Lynnwood voters approved a 0.1% sales tax increase through the TBD on November 8, 2016 which went into effect on January 1, 2017. A total of $40 is charged for each vehicle registered in Lynnwood.
According to the City’s website, the Lynnwood City Council assumes the powers of the TBD and is a separate revenue fund of the City.
