December kicks off our fantasies this month, when the mystical planet, Neptune, turns direct on the 1st of the month. So, this is a great time for some to move forward to possibly achieve those previously blocked or unrealized wishes or dreams.
On the 4th with have a Total Solar Eclipse, in Sagittarius, which offers the potential a powerful time for adventure and/or spiritual aspiration – in other words, a time for seeking out new visions or philosophies if your current ones are not working. It might also suggest a degree of escapism for some too, where the tendency will be to head for the hills if harsh realities are hard to face.
The Sign of Sagittarius is further emphasized this month, when the planet Mars enters it on the 13th – pretty much the same time as Mercury enters the businesslike and worldly ambitious Capricorn. Therefore, this could be a great opportunity for some to spread their wings and seek new horizons, yet doing it in a materially constructive way. This could of course create somewhat of a conflict between how your body wants to act and what you’re your mind is saying you should do – something of a “Don’t tell me what I CAN do, just tell me what I SHOULD do” kind of thing!
Adventurousness and escapism are definitely highlighted traits for this month – even long before the family migrations of Christmas Day are upon us!
Lastly, this month we are approaching the darkest days within the winter cycle. But with the arrival of the Sun in Capricorn on the 21st – marking the official Winter Solstice – there may well be much more light at the end of a long, dark tunnel before that!

NOTE: Whereas it’s popularly believed that astrologers assert that all people of the same Sign of the Zodiac will experience the same things, it is not so.
When we are born our Birth Chart shows specific sensitive points that are unique to us and us alone. Consequently, when the planets move through the Zodiac on a regular basis, they can trigger those sensitive points for us – which of course means that not everyone in a Sign is affected in the same way at the same time.
Therefore it pays us all to know our personal Birth Charts well!
