March 21: Upcoming Mukilteo City Council Meeting

MUKILTEO, Wash., March 20, 2022 – For its 6 p.m. Monday, March 21 regular BUSINESS MEETING, the Mukilteo City Council will vote/discuss the items listed below:

Amendment to Council Rule 4, Item A -Agenda Planning Committee

All matters to be presented to the City Council at its regular meetings are reviewed by the Agenda Planning Committee. The amendment will allow the Council Vice President to now contribute to the agenda.

ATT Small Cell Franchise (AB22-33 & ORD 1463) 2nd Reading

Discussion at first reading of the AT&T Small Cell Franchise agreement with a term of five years. AT&T (New Cingular Wireless PCS, LLC) has requested that the City Council grant it a nonexclusive telecommunications franchise for small wireless facilities. AT&T desires to provide telecommunications services and to construct, operate and maintain a telecommunications system of small wireless facilities within the City’s rights-of-way.

Body Camera Video Redaction Fee (AB22-28 & RES22-02)

Establish a Body Worn Camera Redaction fee and the addition of a Body Worn Camera Redaction Fee to the City of Mukilteo 2022 Fee Schedule.

Finance Director Appointment (AB22-061)

The Council will motion to confirm the mayor’s appointment for Finance Director of Scott James. Scott James served as the Finance Director for the City of Mukilteo from March 2007 to March of 2014. During Mr. James’ time at the City of Mukilteo he was instrumental in establishing the Long-Range Financial Planning concept and oversaw Finance operations that received Government Finance Officer Association’s Awards and assisted the City through the process to obtain a Standard and Poor’s AAA Bond Rating. Since that term, Mr. James has served with the cities of Edmonds, Stanwood and Snohomish bringing the same level of excellence and
achievement to those communities while serving on various Boards and Commissions.

Mr. James has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in accounting, is a certified public accountant and has worked in local government finance for over 24 years. Click here to view his full resume.
