LYNNWOOD— Edmonds School District Superintendent, Dr. Kristine McDuffy, notified the Board of Directors of her intent to retire at the end of this coming school year. In her letter she stated, “After 37 wonderful years in public education, 17 as a superintendent, it is time.” She expressed what an honor it has been to serve this community.
“This is a wonderful community and a great school district full of bright, talented, passionate professionals. It has been a privilege to serve alongside these amazing educators and support staff. We have come a long way. I am proud of the work we have accomplished and the work we have underway,” McDuffy stated.
The School Board will soon be discussing steps to commence the process of selecting a new superintendent. McDuffy plans to retire as of June 2020.
