LYNNWOOD, Wash., August 24, 2022—No one was injured in a two-alarm fire at Trinity Place Apartments in Lynnwood Monday night/early Tuesday morning.
Callers to 911 reported a car on fire in a carport at the Trinity Place Apartments in the 19300 block of 46th Ave. W. at 12:18 a.m. Tuesday, August 23, 2022. When police and firefighters arrived, flames had extended to the two apartment units above the carport and into the attic.
South County Fire called for a second alarm and received assistance from Bothell Fire, Everett Fire, Mukilteo Fire, Shoreline Fire, and Snohomish Regional Fire & Rescue. More than 70 firefighters were on scene at the peak of the fire.
Red Cross responded to assist 15 residents displaced from eight apartments. South County Fire Marshals estimate damages will total between $500,000 and $750,000.
South County Fire and Lynnwood Police Department investigated the fire and determined it was most likely intentionally set. The Lynnwood Police Department’s arson investigation is ongoing.
