Lake Stevens High School and Sunnycrest Elementary School are closed to students and staff, Monday, Nov. 7. If power is restored overnight, and we are able to get internal building temperatures to a comfortable setting and ensure network and phone connectivity, we will send an additional update to LSHS and Sunnycrest staff and families by 8 a.m. Monday letting them know that school is in session and the start time.
All other schools will start two hours late. There is no a.m. preschool at the ELC. The afternoon (p.m.) session is on its normal schedule. This delayed start time will allow for the sun to rise, and will allow for safer routes to schools. This will also give the Snohomish County PUD time to continue restoring power throughout our community. If things change overnight, and we need to cancel school districtwide, we will send an additional message Monday morning by 8 a.m. If we do not share an additional message, we are operating on the schedule we shared above.
There is no out-of-district transportation tomorrow, including Sno-Isle buses. Our Transportation staff are in the process of assessing road closures, and we will share information with families about alternative bus routes as soon as they are available. This information will be shared via email and text message.

All schools will be open and operating on a regular schedule tomorrow, Monday, November 7. Thanks to the hard work of our facilities and maintenance staff each school has been checked and the power to the schools has been verified. There may some residual issues with phone service or the internet, but our technology team is checking sites and addressing issues as they arise. We also appreciate the work of the PUD crews as they have cleared debris on power lines and fixed transformers. We know some areas of Marysville and Tulalip are still without power and some roads have debris on them so please be safe driving to school or work.
