City Council recognizes National Latino Heritage

On September 9, Lynnwood City Councilwoman Ruth Ross presented the proclamation recognizing September 15 – October 15 as National Latino Heritage Month to a full council chamber.

According to the American Community Survey 2013-2017, Latinos and Hispanics comprise 13.3% of the Lynnwood population. The proclamation recognized the significant role of Latinos and Hispanics to the “history of Washington State’s economic, cultural, spiritual and political development.”
