2023 Storm Water Management Plan available for public review

MARYSVILLE, Wash., January 3, 2022—Marysville’s Draft Storm Water Management Program (SWMP) Plan is available for review and public comment through Friday, February 28, 2023.

Review the draft plan at https://www.marysvillewa.gov/294/NPDES-II-Permit. Please send comments by 5 p.m., February 28, to Brooke Ensor via email at bensor@marysvillewa.gov or by phone at 360-363-8288.

The National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Permit is a federal permit that regulates storm water and wastewater discharges to waters of the state. The current permit requires that all regulated municipalities create and implement a Storm Water Management Program (SWMP).

This SWMP Plan will document what actions the City of Marysville will take in 2023 to meet permit requirements. The SWMP Plan is designed to reduce the discharge of pollutants from the city’s storm sewer system to the maximum extent practicable, meet state requirements and protect water quality.
