Soloman S.M. Kim appointed Snohomish County Superior Court Commissioner

SNOHOMISH COUNTY, Wash., January 24, 2023—On January 13, 2023, The Snohomish County Superior Court Presiding Judge George F.B. Appel announced the appointment of Mr. Soloman S.M. Kim as Snohomish County Superior Court Commissioner to replace Tracy G. Waggoner, who is retiring on February 3, 2023.

Mr. Kim will join the court in the role of Commissioner on February 6, 2023. He will hear calendars related to family law (civil motions, domestic violence, dissolution, paternity, and child support), guardianship/probate, mental health, and juvenile court matters related to truancy, at-risk youth, and some offender matters.

Mr. Kim is well-known and recognized in the legal community. For the past 27 years, Mr. Kim has represented clients in private practice. He has litigated civil and criminal defense matters in both Bench and Jury Trials and argued motions before Commissioners and Judges. Mr. Kim brings much experience in family law and mediation.

Judge George F.B. Appel said, “Mr. Kim is experienced in many of the areas of law that come before our commissioners, having practiced in them for 27 years. He is a respected and skilled attorney, and the Court is pleased to have him.”

  1. This commissioner granted a protection over based on false allegations. Now my daughter suffers from anxiety. He should’ve known better to have granted a protection based on false allegations Specially, having experience and family court
