LYNNWOOD, Wash., June 23, 2023—Lynnwood residents are advised to expect helicopter movements starting at 8 a.m. on Sunday, June 25, at the Costco Business Center located at 19105 Hwy 99 to replace several heating and air conditioning units on the building’s roof.
The helicopter will assist in removing the old heating and air conditioning units and lift the new units onto the roof. The helicopter is expected to remain over the Costco Business Center and parking lot for approximately 2 hours as this work is performed. Removing the units and lifting new ones will not produce significant noise, will not require shutting down any roads, nor is expected to impact traffic flow.
Surrounding neighborhoods near the Costco Business Center have been notified via letter, and the City will post on social media Sunday morning to alert others who may be in the area.
Costco and Five Star Mechanical (the company performing the HVAC work) have received the proper permits and authorization from the City of Lynnwood for this project. The Lynnwood Police Department has also been alerted to answer any inquiries from the community.
