Suspected gang-related quadruple shooting in Bothell kills 16-year-old

BOTHELL, Wash., August 22, 2023—Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a quadruple shooting in Bothell that killed one and injured three others.

On August 12, deputies responded to a shooting in the 2000 block of 185th Place SE in unincorporated Bothell. One of the victims, a 16-year-old male, passed away at the hospital on Saturday, August 19. Detectives are now investigating this as a homicide.

When deputies initially responded to the scene around 4 a.m. on August 12, they located one 16-year-old male and one 26-year-old male with multiple gunshot wounds in the parking lot. Both victims were transported by aid to Harborview Medical Center.

The suspects were seen fleeing from the scene in a vehicle. While deputies were investigating the shooting scene, they were notified of two additional patients, a 15-year-old male and a 17-year-old male, who arrived by personal transportation to Swedish Hospital in Mill Creek with gunshot wounds. They were both transported to Providence Regional Medical Center for treatment.

On Saturday, August 19, the 16-year-old male passed away at Harborview. The three others involved have all been treated and released. Law enforcement is working with witnesses to determine what occurred.

Detectives believe this was a gang-related shooting and are actively investigating. Detectives believe there is a connection between all involved parties.
