Edmonds Police discovered a stolen vehicle during a routine vehicle check near the 8700 blk of Main Street just before 7:30 p.m., on Saturday, February 10. Multiple suspects fled from the vehicle and into the home of a resident.
After about an hour of negotiations, two of the suspects surrendered to police and a third suspect fled the home. A K-9 unit was deployed, and a perimeter was established.
The two persons who surrender to police were identified as Jordin Maldonado, 28, male, from Spanaway, and Tanya Hernandez, 45, from Lakewood. Both Pierce County residents were booked for residential burglary, a Class B felony, and resisting arrest, a misdemeanor. Additional charges of possession of a stolen vehicle are pending. If convicted, the two suspects face up to 10 years in prison.
The third suspect, a 29-year-old female also from Lakewood, was last spotted near 209 St and 88 Place shortly after the incident and has yet to be apprehended. Edmonds police have referred charges of residential burglary. The 29-year-old Lakewood woman is also the primary suspect in a separate vehicle theft that occurred overnight on Saturday after the initial perimeter search concluded.
Edmonds Police have taken the initial stolen vehicle as evidence. Law enforcement report no injuries to anyone involved and no weapons were used by any of the suspects.
This is an active investigation. Anyone with any information is asked to contact the Edmonds Police non-emergency line at 425-407-3999.
