WSP seeking witnesses to injury hit-and-run collision near Arlington

ARLINGTON—The Washington State Patrol (WSP) is actively investigating an injury hit-and-run collision in Arlington that occurred at 5:45 a.m. on April 30, 2024, on state Route 531 near 3rd Ave NE.

A newer white sedan (possibly an Acura) was eastbound on state Route 531 in the eastbound lane. The bicyclist was eastbound state Route 531 in the westbound lane on the northbound shoulder.

The sedan crossed over the centerline to pass another vehicle and struck the bicyclist before continuing eastbound on state Route 531. The sedan lost the driver’s side mirror when it struck the bicyclist.

WSP is asking witnesses of the collision or anyone who observed the newer white sedan missing the driver side mirror on state Route 531 near 3rd Ave NE in Arlington to call (360) 654-1144. Your assistance is appreciated as detectives work to locate the suspect and suspect vehicle.
