2020 Brats and Brackets Dinner is officially postponed

Thank you so much for your support, understanding, and patience. As you know, the COVID-19 situation has been rapidly evolving, with significant developments occurring daily. As an organization, we have been working extremely hard for many months to prepare for our only fundraiser of the year, our March Madness-themed Brats and Brackets event.

As the COVID-19 situation developed these past few weeks, we have been making every effort we can to try and keep our event on schedule, including planning extra precautionary measures for our Brats and Brackets Dinner. Unfortunately, the reality of the situation is that we cannot proceed as scheduled. As of today, the NCAA has cancelled the Men’s and Women’s Basketball Tournaments entirely. In addition, the State of Washington has mandated that all schools in King County, Snohomish County, and Pierce County be closed until at least April 24. Of course, that includes the Mukilteo School District, where our students attend school and where our Brats and Brackets Dinner was scheduled to take place.

Based on these latest developments, we regret to inform you that Leadership Launch’s 2020 Brats and Brackets Dinner is officially POSTPONED.

In addition, our 2020 Bracket Challenge is officially CANCELLED (because there will be no brackets this year without the NCAA Tournament).

We will likely try to reschedule our Brats and Brackets Dinner event in the upcoming months, as Rosehill Community Center and the City of Mukilteo have indicated that we can reschedule for a future date. We will keep you updated. In the meantime, if you would like us to issue a refund of your dinner ticket or bracket donation, please just let us know.

Again, we are grateful for your support, and we are deeply saddened to make this decision, especially on our Fifth Anniversary. As you probably know, Brats and Brackets provides the substantial majority of the revenue that supports our organization throughout the entire year and allows us to empower, equip, and engage student leaders from a place of equity. Like other organizations, we will make the most of this tough situation. Any support you can provide is greatly appreciated, especially for our students and their families who might struggle to persevere through these difficult times. We will keep our online general donation platform open (https://leadershiplaunch-preview.kindful.com/…) for anyone who would like to give.

On behalf of our entire Leadership Launch team, thank you. During these challenging times filled with uncertainty, please remember to Let Your Leader Out. We are all in this together.

With love,

Rachel Kittle
