Getting there is easy. Simply reserve seats online and catch a ride on the seasonal foot ferry from Jetty Landing to the 2-mile-long manmade island during Jetty Island Days from July 5 thru September 1, 2024.

Jetty Island Days is an annual program provided in partnership by the Port of Everett, City of Everett and Snohomish County, bringing thousands of visitors to the island every summer.

New this year, the Port of Everett and Visit Everett are adding a giant Adirondack chair for beachside photo ops. The chair towers visitors at 10 feet tall. If you snap a picture, be sure to tag @portofeverett and @visiteverett on social media.

“The Port’s Jetty Island is a top Snohomish County destination and ‘must-do’ summer excursion for locals and visitors alike,” said Catherine Soper, the Port’s Director of External Affairs & Business Development. “We look forward to continuing to provide this convenient public access connection to the massive site that also doubles as important habitat for our local ecosystem – a prime example of the Port’s commitment to public access and the environment.”

The City of Everett Parks and Facilities Department has a host of fun activities and programs planned at the Jetty throughout July and August. Look forward to theme days, nature walks, a kite day, sandcastle competition and more! Calendar of events coming soon. More information can be found at www.everettwa.gov/parks.

“We’re so proud to partner with the Port of Everett and Snohomish County to keep the Jetty Island Days program going,” said Everett Mayor Cassie Franklin. “This partnership provides opportunities for families from throughout our region to enjoy Jetty Island’s pristine beaches, learn about the unique environment and, mostly importantly, have fun!”

Seasonal ferry service runs five days a week, 10 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. Sundays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, and 10 a.m. to 6:45 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays. The ferry departs from and returns to Jetty Landing off 10th Street and West Marine View Drive at the Port of Everett waterfront.

Ferry rides to the island are available by online reservation only. The roundtrip cost is $3-$5 (plus taxes and fees) per person. Children ages 2 and younger ride free, but still require a reservation.

During low tide, the ferry may depart from and/or return to North A-Dock, which is a short walk from the Jetty Landing parking lot. Call 360-805-6708 or e-mail jetty.island@snoco.org from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday-Friday to request special accommodations for mobility.

Just like last year, you have the option to book reservations for your return trip from the Jetty. Otherwise, you can grab return passes for available return slots once you arrive island-side (available on a first-come, first-served basis).

The Port offers a parking discount at Jetty Landing Park with a Jetty Island ferry reservation. To receive the discounted rate of $2 (plus taxes and fees) for up to eight hours of parking at Jetty Landing, parking must be pre-purchased via a link provided with ferry reservation confirmation.

As a safety precaution, only five strollers and carts are allowed per trip on the foot ferry. Admittance of your cart or stroller will be decided on a first-come, first-served basis. Wheelchairs and other mobility aids are not restricted by this policy.
