When the Everett Silvertips are winning in the final minute of play, fans listening on the radio or watching the broadcast might hear: “They’re on their feet in Everett!” or the phrase, “Oh, that’s pretty!” after Everett scores a goal. The voice bringing the game to listeners across the airwaves belongs to Casey Bryant, the “Voice of the Everett Silvertips” and their play-by-play broadcaster.
Bryant has been with the Silvertips since 2021 and credits some of his connections for helping him land the job. He feels fortunate to have secured a position calling games in the Western Hockey League (WHL).
“He brings his unique tone to each broadcast and has a voice that makes every Silvertips game special. His passion for hockey comes through in every broadcast,” said Zoran Rajcic, the Silvertips’ Chief Operating Officer and Governor.
Originally from New York State, Bryant began working games at Marist College at the American Collegiate Hockey Association Division II (ACHA) level and has made stops across Junior A, including working in the North American Hockey League with the Danbury Jr. Hat Tricks, as well as in NCAA college hockey with Sacred Heart University.
Bryant described his first week with the Silvertips as a whirlwind.
“Since I was hired after the start of the season, I had about five days to pack up all my things and drive across the country to move to Everett. My first day in the office was a Tuesday; my first game was that Friday in Kent, followed by Pink the Rink at home the next day. It was a scramble to get to know the team and learn the ropes, but we got there eventually,” explained Bryant.

Bryant is known for his enthusiasm for broadcasting. He thoroughly prepares and researches the players, teams, and the game itself. He prides himself on storytelling and going beyond mere statistics.
To prepare for games, he studies whom the players grew up playing against, listens to podcasts, and reads past news stories to gain more background on players. By game time, his “spot chart” (a chart with players, notes, and stats) is quite sophisticated and intricate.
Bryant also credits his theater experience with helping him as a broadcaster.
“Years of performing in theater have made memorizing names and numbers easy for me. I believe it has also influenced my delivery. I aim to give appropriate emphasis to the big moments while making the rest of the play understandable and entertaining. Our games have a blend of lightheartedness and drama that I hope people appreciate,” Bryant said.
“Casey is very skilled at what he does. In addition to calling the games, he manages all our social media and is one of the best in the league at executing and managing the Everett Silvertips’ social media channels,” added Rajcic.
Bryant’s work in calling games has earned appreciation and admiration from Silvertips fans.
Caitlin North, a Silvertips fan since their inception (entering their 22nd season in 2024-2025), listens to all away games during the regular season and values Bryant’s efforts in the broadcasts.
“He possesses a strong knowledge of the game and communicates clearly — he is a storyteller. You can tell that he’s well-researched during his broadcasts,” noted North.
Since joining the Silvertips’ radio booth, Casey Bryant has experienced many highlights, with a few particularly memorable moments.
“There have been many highlights. The Battle of the Sound at Climate Pledge Arena (home of the Seattle Kraken) was unreal. It was my first time working in an NHL barn, where 10,000 fans were chanting back and forth like at a college football game, and the Tips shut out Seattle 4-0. It was an incredible atmosphere. Beyond that, there have been numerous cool milestones — Jackson Berezowski setting both the franchise’s all-time and single-season goal records come to mind.”
In addition to becoming part of the North Sound and Snohomish County hockey community, Bryant has embraced the community he now calls home since joining the Silvertips.
“It’s such a beautiful area; I’m fortunate to have landed in this part of the country,” Bryant said about living in Snohomish County.
“The scenery is great; the fans are extraordinarily passionate, and I love being so close to Seattle. I’ve enjoyed every moment here, and I’m incredibly grateful to the organization for giving me a chance and to the community for embracing the team and my family the way they have,” Bryant added.
Bryant will prepare for the upcoming Silvertips Western Hockey League season, starting this fall. When the puck drops, his voice will bring Silvertips hockey action through the airwaves and into the homes and hearts of Silvertips fans around the region.

Casey is an amazing broadcaster. His notes, knowledge, and vocabulary are thorough and thoroughly enjoyable. It was hard to follow Mike Benton, but Casey’s made the broadcast his own. He’s also a very nice, kind, and welcoming presence in the Silvertips organization.
