    1. Hello April as of right now, 5:30 p.m., SWAT are still negotiating with the suspect who is still barricaded inside the motel. The Motel and parking lot are still closed to the public.

  1. This all happened while I was at work miles awayv with no car.
No one will answer at the front desk. Motel 6 customer service says it’s the responsibility of the property manager, but again, no one will answer the phone.
My son is outside with our cat and has been all day. His phone died, and I have no idea where he is. The last thing he told me is they’re arresting anyone who tries to go into the motel.
I expected motel 6 to step up and address accomodations… Not only are they in an area where they should have contingency plans, they’ve had actual standoffs before at this location.
I fully thought customer service would have a plan for evacuees, but nope, they couldn’t have cared less.
Obviously the child is the most important things, but there are now other lives at stake. My son has type one diabetes and is insulin dependent. All our food, drinks, medication, cat food, cat litter… All in the room. I left no family, no car. That room costs will over $2k a month, and it’s on skid row.
My story isn’t unique, it’s everyone at motel 6 quite frankly, although I’m employed and not on drugs.
