Sound Transit Lynnwood Link new construction road closures Aug 17-21

LYNNWOOD—Link light rail service to Lynnwood begins August 30. With four new stations, 1 Line trains run every 8–10 minutes, offering you yet another choice to get where you want to go. Construction crews working on the Lynnwood Link Extension will paint striping and continuing landscaping work resulting in closures as early as Saturday, August 16 through Wednesday, August 21.

Center lane closure on 44th Ave W 

Starting Monday, Aug. 19, Sound Transit’s contractor will continue landscaping work on 44th Ave W. This will require closing the center turn lane on 44th Ave W, just south of 200th St SW. Detours for the left-turn lane from 44th Ave W to 200th St SW will be provided (see map).

  • Monday, Aug. 19 – Wednesday, Aug. 21, all day and all night

Full nightly closures of 200th St SW 

As early as Friday, Aug. 16, Sound Transit’s contractor will continue road work on 200th St SW for paint striping. This will require two separate nighttime closures of 200th St SW between 50th Ave W and 44th Ave W. Detours will be provided (see map).

  • Saturday, Aug. 17 – Sunday, Aug. 18, 10 p.m. – 9 a.m.
  • Contingency date: Sunday, Aug. 18 – Monday, Aug. 19, 10 p.m. – 5 a.m.
