SEATTLE—The Port of Seattle reported that Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SeaTac) experienced “an internet and web systems outage” this morning then by this afternoon, shared it was “a possible cyberattack.” As of the publication of this article, the Lynnwood Times received an error message stating “Hmmm… can’t reach this page” when accessing the Port of Seattle’s website.
SeaTac is asking travelers to directly check with their airline for the latest travel information and allow extra time to get to SEA and to your gate.
“To help get through the airport easier, get your mobile boarding pass for your flight and any checked baggage through the airline apps before you get to SEA,” posted to SeaTac’s X account.

According to SeaTac Airport’s Facebook account, the Port of Seattle “experienced certain system outages indicating a possible cyberattack earlier this morning. The Port isolated critical systems and is in the process of working to restore full service and do not have an estimated time for return.”
The Port of Seattle has yet to disclose the scale of the cyberattack and when systems will be fully functional again.
The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) released the following statement to King 5 on the outage: “TSA is aware of the outage to the Port of Seattle’s internet service and is working with its partners at the Port. There is no impact to TSA’s operations at the security checkpoint and TSA continues to screen passengers using its robust procedures. Passengers should check with their airlines for information on their flights.”
