Northwest Chocolate Festival returns this weekend at Bellevue’s Meydenbauer Center

BELLEVUE—The Northwest Chocolate Festival returns for its 16th year this weekend from Friday, October 4, through Sunday, October 6, at the Meydenbauer Center in Bellevue.

Chocolate Festival

The festival will feature the world’s top chocolate makers and dessert artisans offering presentations, workshops, panels and more.

In addition, guests can expect to taste products from over 150 global exhibit partners from over 25 countries showcasing chocolate products in the main exhibit hall while shopping for decadent holiday gifts.

The festival will also hold the Global Chocolate Awards ceremony recognizing the top confectioners and chocolate makers around the world for their work.

The NW Chocolate Festival has been carrying out this tradition since 2008 and says it is one of the longest running award programs in the world of artisan chocolate.

With up 1,000 product entries each year the NW Chocolate and Chocolate Alliance dedicates themselves to finding the best chocolate handcrafted by artisans from more than 37 countries. The NW Chocolate and Chocolate Alliance Awards are coveted by professionals and are held in the highest esteem as a mark of quality.

This years’ award cycle will be divided into two segments. The show participants (exhibitors) competition, and the open entry global competition. The show participation is open to all exhibitors who participated in last year’s festival but at this point open entry has been closed.

Tickets start at $40 for single day access to $125 for the weekend, which includes early access.

The hours of the festival start at 3 p.m. on Friday until 7:30, and 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday with early access beginning at 9 a.m. Most workshops and panels will begin at 11.
