EVERETT—United Way of Snohomish County (UWSC) Board of Directors is pleased to announce Brittany Williams as the organization’s new Executive Director. Williams, who has been with UWSC since May 2022, previously served as Deputy Director and succeeds Maya Hemachandra, who served as Interim President and Chief Executive Officer since July 2023.
A Snohomish County resident, Williams brings over 15 years of experience in marketing, communications, and nonprofit leadership to her new role. The board welcomes her expertise in strategic planning, community engagement, and cross-sector collaboration as the organization seeks to revitalize its presence, programs and impact in Snohomish County. “We are excited to have Brittany Williams step up into this all important role,” said Charlotte Murry, UWSC Board Chairwoman, “she brings a level of enthusiasm to the work that United Way of Snohomish County is needing in this pivotable moment.”
During her tenure with UWSC, Williams has played a pivotal role in advancing the organization by expanding partnerships and increasing its reach throughout the county and has consistently demonstrated her passion for mission-driven work and her commitment to creating positive change.
