The nine Fan Zones will be in addition to the Seattle Fan Celebration hosted at the Seattle Center to ensure as many Washingtonians as possible can be part of this historic event.

Mayor Franklin shared with the Lynnwood Times her excitement to be one of the nine Fan Zones: “Everett is the place to be for the FIFA World Cup in 2026! As the home of AquaSox Baseball, Silvertips Hockey, Jets Soccer and Wolfpack Football, Everett is an incredibly proud sports town. We look forward to welcoming passionate and energized soccer fans for FIFA World Cup fun at our Fan Zone and throughout our city!”

Everett is between two FIFA World Cup 2026 host cities—Seattle and Vancouver, BC—making it an ideal location for visitors looking to take part in a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

“The World Cup brings the entire world together around their love of soccer and their country,” said Peter Tomozawa, CEO, SeattleFWC26. “We’re excited to work with these nine communities to bring the thrill of the FIFA World Cup 2026™ experience to all corners of Washington state.”

Economic Alliance Snohomish County (EASC), in collaboration with the Snohomish County Sports Commission, is hosting a FREE online coffee chat where an Everett spokesman will be discussing the City’s FIFA 2026 Fun Zone plan. The Local Organizing Committee is working with FOX 13 Seattle, a broadcast partner of FIFA World Cup 26™, to support fan zones across the state. Programming for fan zones during the Seattle FIFA World Cup matches may feature live entertainment, interactive fan activations, and food & beverage.

“I’m excited to invite you to our SeattleFWC26 fan zone,” Snohomish County Executive Dave Somers released in a statement. “Snohomish County has something for everybody, from snow-tipped mountains to the shores of Puget Sound. We hope fans will join us to make the World Cup experience unforgettable. We’re all in for FIFA World Cup 2026.”

In June of 2022, FIFA unveiled that Seattle is one of 16 host cities for its 2026 World Cup.

U.S. Representative Rick Larsen (D-Everett), co-chair of the Congressional Soccer Caucus, applauded the decision of FIFA leadership and tournament organizers to name Seattle as a host city for the 2026 FIFA World Cup shortly after the 2022 announcement.

“As a lifelong soccer fan and co-chair of the Congressional Soccer Caucus, I am excited Puget Sound and Seattle will host the 2026 FIFA World Cup,” said Larsen. “The Pacific Northwest represents the future of soccer in North America, and Washingtonians are passionate about the beautiful game. I look forward to sharing with the world all that makes the Evergreen State special!”
