Suspect arrested in Sultan shooting after multi-agency pursuit

SULTAN—Snohomish County Sheriff deputies on Wednesday, September 17, responded to an assault with a weapon in the 33200 block of US 2, Sultan. A 32-year-old man, shot in the leg, was treated at Providence Regional Medical Center in Everett.

The 27-year-old suspect, already under investigation for prior offenses, fled but was tracked by King County’s Guardian One and the Sheriff’s Office Violent Offender Task Force into King County. He was arrested and booked into Snohomish County Jail on charges including Assault 1 and 2, Burglary 1, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, and Kidnapping, with additional charges pending from the prior case.

Sultan Police, Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office, Gold Bar Police, Monroe Police, North Sound Metro SWAT, Violent Offender Task Force, and King County Air Support assisted.

This is an active investigation.
