Mukilteo is more than a scenic waterfront town—it’s a community built on trust, resilience, and shared purpose. And few leaders have embodied those values more consistently than Joe Marine.

Over the years, Joe has shown what it means to lead with both vision and humility. From revitalizing our waterfront to strengthening public safety and infrastructure, his record reflects a deep commitment to practical progress and fiscal responsibility. He doesn’t chase headlines—he builds foundations.
Of course, in any community, rumors can swirl. I’ve seen firsthand how certain individuals have tried to cast doubt on Joe’s character. But I’ve also seen how perseverance reveals the truth.
When I was first appointed to office, I faced threats and hostility as a newly elected Korean American. It was a vulnerable moment—and within an hour of speaking with our police department, Joe Marine called me. Not to make a statement. Not to posture. But to check in, to offer support, and to make sure I knew I wasn’t alone. That call wasn’t performative—it was personal. And since then, Joe has consistently shown up. For me. For our community. For Mukilteo.
As a Korean American who values inclusive leadership and mutual respect, I’m proud to recommend Mayor Joe Marine for his nonpartisan approach. He leads with integrity, welcoming all voices regardless of party, religion, or background. In a time when division is easy, Joe chooses unity—and that’s the kind of leadership our community deserves.
What you see is what you get. Joe Marine is the kind of leader who will sit down with you, have a real conversation, and work toward real solutions. He doesn’t shy away from hard moments—he leans in. If we want Mukilteo to keep its character, its heart, and its momentum, then we need to vote for Joe. Because leadership isn’t just about policy—it’s about presence. And Joe Marine shows up.

My husband and I attend virtually every Mukilteo city council meeting, and we agree with Councilmember Moon. Mayor Joe Marine is by far the best choice for Mukilteo mayor. There is a reason at least four of the current councilmembers support Joe.
