‘Crash and Grab’ burglary at Lynnwood pot shop

LYNNWOOD—Early Monday morning, October 27, a group of suspects carried out a brazen “crash-and-grab” burglary at a cannabis dispensary in Lynnwood, leading to a multi-vehicle pursuit that extended into Seattle before the perpetrators evaded capture. KING5 first reported the story.

The incident unfolded around 2:40 a.m. at Euphorium Cannabis, located on Cypress Way in Lynnwood. Snohomish County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the scene following reports of a burglary in progress.

A nearby Lynnwood Police Department officer arrived and interrupted the suspects, who fled in three vehicles containing multiple occupants.

Officers pursued two of the fleeing vehicles—both identified as stolen Hyundai sedans—westbound toward Interstate 5. The third vehicle separated from the group during the initial escape. As the pursuit intensified, the suspects in one Hyundai deployed a fire extinguisher in an attempt to create a smoke screen for pursuing units; one occupant then hurled the extinguisher at the trailing Lynnwood police vehicle.

The chase continued southbound on I-5, with Snohomish County deputies joining Lynnwood police. The suspects exited the freeway near Exit 162 in Seattle, where the pursuits split. Both Hyundai vehicles were ultimately lost in the city, and the suspects escaped on foot. Authorities later recovered and impounded the two stolen Hyundais for evidentiary processing.

No injuries were reported during the burglary or the ensuing chase. A stolen firearm was recovered at the dispensary scene, though details on the amount or value of other potentially taken items—such as cannabis products—have not been disclosed. Specific descriptions of the suspects remain unavailable, and no arrests have been announced in connection with this incident.

The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office described the event as an active investigation.

Back in July 2022, five masked gunmen robbed the same cannabis store located at 20925 Cypress Way in unincorporated Lynnwood. The suspect vehicle fled from the scene and was pursued by Lynnwood Police into the Green Lake area of Seattle where the suspects fled on foot.

In that incident, one suspect was taken into custody.
