EVERETTโOn Friday, November 21, 2025, Snohomish County Superior Court, in co-sponsorship with the County Clerk’s Office and CASA Program, will join others nationwide in participating in National Adoption Day. For this annual celebration, the Superior Court, Clerk’s Office, CASA Program, and local adoption attorneys will partner to make this a very special occasion for children and their new families.

A major goal of National Adoption Day is to raise awareness of the more than 100,000 children in the United States waiting to be adopted and of the need for adoptive homes. Kids enter foster care through no fault of their own, and each year courts and other organizations across the United States celebrate and finalize adoptions from foster care during this event.
โAdoption Day is all about celebrating when a child is matched with a loving family,โ said Judge Patrick Moriarty. โIt is an honor to be a part of and to recognize these amazing children and families. It is the happiest day of the year in the courthouse.โ
Snohomish Countyโs Adoption Day celebration will take place from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. in the Snohomish County Superior Court Jury Assembly Room. The celebration will include guest speakers, activities and gift bags for the children, a photo booth, Webbly the AquaSox mascot, SnoCopeโs Rocky the Racoon, the Snohomish County Sheriffโs Office Bearcat and Kids Copter, puppies brought by Assistance Dogs Northwest, and more! Light food, snacks, and refreshments will also be available.
The following organizations and law firms supported this yearโs Adoption Day celebration:
- Snohomish County Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA)
