Leisure Care says thank you to more than 5,000 senior living healthcare workers and staff with a national day of gratitude.
Seattle, WA. — Leisure Care, one of the nation’s largest privately-owned senior living companies, is celebrating its staff and nursing teams across the nation on May 7th with a “Leisure Care Heroes’ Day.”
With healthcare workers and staff being on the front lines of the Coronavirus crisis, the company was inspired by the steadfast commitment of its employees. Leisure Care is taking a moment to acknowledge the importance of its employees’ enduring efforts to keep residents healthy and at ease.
Each of the approximately 5,000 employees will get a “Doing Right Things” t-shirt, which is one of Leisure Care’s company values. They will also be getting shout outs from the company’s Seattle-based corporate office through a video.
“Every day our Leisure Care family shows up and is dedicated to caring for our residents and our communities. The health and safety of both our employees and our residents are our top priority,” says Dan Madsen, Leisure Care CEO. “We are so proud of the tireless efforts and commitment of our employees to our residents who are the most vulnerable to this virus.”
On May 7th, in conjunction with National Nurses Week, employees are invited to wear their t-sheets and each community is honoring its staff in its own way.
Family members of residents are also expressing gratitude for the care of the Leisure Care employees:
“The entire staff has truly helped to ease my concerns and I know that she (mom) is in good hands. Every day when we talk, she tells me that someone has done just that one thing to ease her loneliness or brighten her day. You have followed all of the guidelines and worked very hard to address not only her physical needs, but her emotional needs as well,”
“I have said many times that I don’t think my mom could be in a safer place right now…I have been beyond impressed from the get-go. I wanted you to know how very much I appreciate your efforts and thoughtfulness.”
“We wanted to send you our praise and gratitude for the hard work, dedication and extra care you are providing to keep our mom and all residents there safe. We know this has been a huge shift for everyone and while it has been difficult to not visit, we are reassured that our mom is in the best of hands.”
