Link light rail 1 line runs until 3 a.m. New Year’s Eve

Looking for a safe and reliable option for New Year’s Eve travel? Leave the driving to Sound Transit!

Sound Transit buses and trains will operate fare free all day on New Year’s Eve. Link light rail will run extended hours for the holiday, with service every 15 minutes during late night.  

The last southbound train will depart from Lynnwood at 1:57 a.m., serving Westlake at 2:28 a.m. and arriving in Federal Way at 3:23 a.m. 

The last northbound train will depart from Federal Way at 11:56 a.m., serving Westlake at 2:52 a.m. and arriving in Lynnwood at 3:24 a.m. 

Sound Transit’s transit partners, including King County Metro, Community Transit, Everett Transit, Pierce Transit, and Seattle Streetcar, are all running fare free service for New Year’s Eve. Riders can sign up to receive automatic email service alerts for Link light rail, ST Express bus routes, the T Line, and the Sounder N Line and S Line.
