EDMONDS—Local author and illustrator Katherine Castano from Snohomish, Washington will be the featured author at Edmonds Bookshop at their April Story Time. She will be reading her first picture book, Remy, Where Are You? featuring a girl and her pet snail. This charming story takes readers on a twisty, turny, SLIMY journey throughout the forest and teaches young readers the importance of making new friends and keeping the old. There will be a fun activity afterwards.

Additionally, The Edmonds Bookshop will be hosting a monthly book group for young readers happening at Edmonds Bookshop. This month it will be on Sunday, April 19th at 3 pm. Children aged 8-12 are welcome to participate in a monthly ‘book club’ just for them. There will be fun activities centered around the book-of-the-month to help participants engage in the fun of sharing books. The book for the month of April is Cartoonists Club: A Graphic Novel written and illustrated by Raina Telgemeier and Scott McCloud. Not only is this a fun story about some creative friends, it is also a how-to about making cartoons and graphic stories. The monthly meet-up will include making a cartoon story all of your own! All middle-grade readers are welcome to attend with an adult, as this is not a drop-off event. The book group will last about half an hour.
