Snohomish County Sports Hall of Fame announces 2026 Induction Class

SNOHOMISH COUNTYThe Snohomish County Sports Hall of Fame Committee is proud to announce the 2026 Induction Class, which includes five athletes, one coach, one sports contributor and one team. The 2026 Induction Class is the 16th class for the Snohomish County Sports Hall of Fame.

The five athletes being inducted are:

Megan Amundson, Volleyball

Megan Amundson was a multi-sport athlete at Stanwood High School but primarily starred in volleyball where she set multiple school records, earned All-State and All-Area recognition and helped lead the Spartans to two state tournaments. At Western Washington University, she was a four-year starter, team captain and key contributor in the Vikings’ West Region Championship title and runner-up finish at the 2007 NCAA Division II National Championships. Returning to Stanwood as the head volleyball coach, she guided the Spartans to numerous state tournaments and was inducted into the Stanwood High School Athletic Hall of Fame in 2025.

Mitch Canham, Baseball

Mitch Canham was a multi-sport athlete at Lake Stevens High School but excelled in baseball as a four-year starter, helping the Vikings to four state tournaments. He earned a scholarship to play at Oregon State University where he contributed to the Beavers’ consecutive NCAA Division I championships in 2006 and 2007. Selected 57th overall by the San Diego Padres in the 2007 MLB Draft, he spent eight seasons in professional baseball, reaching Triple-A by 2010 before retiring in 2015. Returning to OSU as the head baseball coach, he’s guided the Beavers to multiple postseasons, including a College World Series berth in 2025.

Erik Norgard, Football

Erik Norgard graduated from Arlington High School before attending Western Washington University and transferring to the University of Colorado where he earned an All-Big Eight selection, served as co-captain and won the 1988 Joe Romig Award for strong offensive-line performances. Although undrafted, he joined the Houston Oilers in 1990 as a free agent and spent eight seasons with Houston and Tennessee, appearing in 108 games and only committing five penalties as a guard and center. He recorded two touchdowns, three receptions and two fumble recoveries and appeared in three postseason games while serving on an offensive line tasked with protecting Warren Moon.

Mary Parker Etter, Track & Field

Mary Parker Etter was a multi-sport athlete at Snohomish High School. Not only did she serve as the goalkeeper on the Panthers’ 1997 state-championship team, but she also dominated in track and field claiming three state titles (two discus, one shot put) and owning school bests in those events, resulting in her achieving top-six national rankings. At the University of Oregon, she’s the Ducks’ second all-time leader in the discus and fourth in the shot put. She also appeared in the Pac-10 and NCAA championships all four seasons and posted numerous podium finishes in addition to her combined 40-plus outdoor and indoor victories.

Sidney Rielly, Basketball

Sidney Rielly was a standout basketball player at Everett High School becoming the Seagulls’ all-time leading scorer with 1,517 points and three-time MVP, in addition to earning several conference and state accolades and helping Everett to league and district championships. At Portland State University, she became one of the program’s all-time leaders, setting numerous records and tallying All-Big Sky Conference honors. She helped lead the Vikings to a Big Sky title and its second NCAA tournament in program history. She also played professionally in Denmark where she accumulated league honors and contributed to her team claiming league and national titles.

The coach being inducted is:

Mike Price, Football

Mike Price is a lifelong Everett native. An Everett High School and Everett Junior College football player and graduate and Washington State University and University of Puget Sound alumnus, Price played various positions on the gridiron before following in his father’s footsteps in the coaching pathway. He held several assistant coaching positions before his first head coaching role at Weber State University. He moved back to WSU to lead the Cougars to two Pac-10 titles and five bowl-game appearances, including the program’s first Rose Bowl berth in more than 65 years. His final coaching role was at the University of Texas at El Paso where he led the Miners to three bowl games. With 177 career wins, he also earned numerous hall of fame inductions.

The sports contributor being inducted is:

Bob Cummins, Rowing

Bob Cummins was a multi-sport athlete at Everett High School and attended the University of Washington where he rowed briefly as a walk-on for the men’s crew team. Upon graduating, he established a chiropractic practice in Bellevue, leaving the rowing scene for years before regaining an interest after his children joined the Everett Rowing Association. Over time, he helped form Everett Rowing Association’s youth program and later founded the Lake Stevens Rowing Club, which produced nationally successful athletes. He also worked as a master boat builder at Pocock Racing Shells and served in various leadership roles with US Rowing.

The team being inducted is:

2015-17 Archbishop Murphy High School Boys Soccer

The 2015-17 Archbishop Murphy High School boys soccer teams dominated competition, compiling a 63-2-1 record with three consecutive Cascade Conference and state championships and two district titles. The Wildcats netted 303 goals while conceding 23 across three seasons, and from 2016 to 2017, they posted a 43-game win streak. Twelve seniors on the 2017 roster were also members of all three state-title squads. Team captain Matt Williams earned 2017 Washington State Gatorade Player of the Year honors, and head coach Mike Bartley received multiple statewide coaching awards.

The Sports Hall of Fame inductees were nominated by the public and the 15-member Sports Hall of Fame Committee.

The banquet guest speaker is Curt Marsh. A Snohomish High School and University of Washington alumnus, Marsh served as a lineman on the Panthers 1976 Class 3A state championship team before appearing in three bowl games (1978 and 1981 Rose Bowls) for the Huskies. From 1967-1987, he played for the Oakland Raiders.

The 2026 Sports Hall of Fame Inductees will be honored at the Snohomish County Sports Hall of Fame Induction Banquet on September 23, 2026, at the Edward D. Hansen Conference Center at Angel Of The Winds Arena. The Sports Hall of Fame Banquet tickets are $125 per person ($25 for children 11 and under) and $1,100 per table for 10 people. In addition, the banquet will feature the KRKO Russell & Hill High School Male and Female Athlete of the Year Award and Snohomish County Collegiate Male and Female Athlete of the Year Award.
