MUKILTEO—The City of Mukilteo and the Mukilteo Chamber of Commerce invite residents and visitors to join America’s 250 Celebration at Lighthouse Park on Saturday, July 4, from 3 to 8 p.m.
As part of the nationwide America 250 commemoration, Mukilteo’s celebration will feature classic Independence Day activities, including family-friendly games, a live patriotic theater play, a pie-eating contest, live music and a beer garden for adults 21 and older.
“This event is an opportunity to celebrate our nation’s 250th birthday while bringing neighbors together through fun, tradition and community,” said Tony Trofimczuk, City of Mukilteo Recreation and Cultural Services director. “Whether you’re competing in a balloon toss, cheering on pie-eating contestants, enjoying live music, or simply spending time with family and friends, we invite everyone to join us for this historic milestone.”
Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets. A large community tent, provided by the Kiwanis Club of Mukilteo, will offer a shaded gathering space for attendees of all ages.
“Bring your chair, your family and spirit, and join us as we celebrate 250 years of freedom, opportunity and community,” said Trofimczuk. “Make this Fourth of July a day to remember.”
The year 2026 marks 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776. The United States Semi quincentennial provides an opportunity to reflect on the nation’s past, honor the contributions of all Americans and look ahead to the future for generations to come. Communities across the country are hosting events to commemorate this historic milestone.
