Selected artists will have their artwork displayed and available for sale for three months. Artwork must be original and family friendly. Recreation and Cultural Services staff will sell the artwork throughout the exhibit. Once sold, artwork will remain on the wall and be available for pickup at the end of the three-month exhibit.

The gallery features 80 linear feet of wall space dedicated to showcasing and selling works by local artists and regional art groups. Community members and art lovers can view the exhibits during gallery hours: 7 a.m. – 9 p.m. Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. – 9 p.m. Saturday, and 9 a.m. – 9 p.m. Sunday. The Ferry View Gallery at Rosehill Community Center is located at 304 Lincoln Ave. in Mukilteo.

“The Ferry View Gallery at Rosehill Community Center offers artists a unique opportunity to showcase their work in a beautiful, welcoming, community-focused space where art, creativity and connection come together. Every exhibit invites visitors to discover new perspectives while celebrating the artists who enrich our community,” said Tony Trofimczuk, director of the Mukilteo Recreation and Cultural Services Department.

Applications can be submitted on the City of Mukilteo’s website by Wednesday, Sept. 16. To be considered, artists must submit an application to exhibit, five or more digital photos, and an artist résumé and brief statement about the artwork.

Exhibits will be selected by the Visual Arts Committee, a sub-committee of the Parks and Arts Commission. The Visual Arts Committee will evaluate submissions based on aesthetics, creativity, technique and suitability for display in a community-oriented venue. Artists selected to exhibit their work will be notified by the end of September.

“We encourage artists at all stages of their practice to submit an application and take part in this exciting, community-based opportunity,” said Trofimczuk.
