MUKILTEO — The City of Mukilteo is now accepting applications for the 2027 Co-Sponsorship Facility Use Grant, offering eligible community events in-kind support through waived city facility rental fees.
The competitive program supports public events that strengthen Mukilteo’s cultural, recreational, educational, civic and economic vitality. Eligible events may strengthen community connections, expand local programs and activities, attract visitors and support local businesses, or promote the health and well-being of residents and guests.
“Community events are at the heart of what makes Mukilteo such a vibrant place to live, work and visit,” said Tony Trofimczuk, director of the City of Mukilteo’s Recreation and Cultural Services Department. “This program gives local organizations and event partners an opportunity to bring their ideas to life while creating meaningful experiences for our community and supporting the local economy.”
The grant is an in-kind facility use grant, not a cash grant. Eligible facilities include Rosehill Community Center, city parks and Bandshell Stage, and city streets or public roadways for approved special events. Awards are limited and competitive. Recipients will be responsible for applicable permits, licenses, insurance, staffing, security, equipment, and other event-related requirements.
Applicants should generally be based in Mukilteo. Organizations outside of city limits may be considered when the proposed event provides a substantial and direct benefit to Mukilteo. Individuals are not eligible.
Qualified applicants may be invited to present their proposal to the Review Committee. The committee will make recommendations to the City Council for final decision.
