LYNNWOOD — Snohaimish Chabad of Snohomish County will be celebrating the Festival of Lights with the 15th annual Menorah Lighting and Celebration Sunday, December 6, at Lynnwood City Center Station — celebrating the “light and joy of shared freedoms and the immeasurable value of every human being.”

“This year we are doing more to celebrate Hanukkah with joy and Jewish pride. The Menorah and Hanukkah represent freedom of the human spirit, freedom from tyranny and oppression, and of the victory of good over evil,” said Rabbi Berel Paltiel.
The Lynnwood Public Menorah Lighting & Celebration will take place at 4:00 pm on Sunday, December 6, at the Lynnwood City Center Light Rail Station. The event will feature the kindling of the giant nine-foot Menorah, delicious Holiday treats, live music, kid entertainment, personal Menorah kits, and for the third year, the now beloved “Gelt Drop,” where South County Fire will shower chocolate coins from a ladder truck for kids to enjoy.

“Celebrating Hanukkah is a potent point of light. The celebration of Hanukkah underscores the G-d endowed liberty that is at the heart of what America represents,” said Paltiel.
