MARYSVILLE — The City of Marysville invites the community to join in honoring local veterans, active-duty service members and military families this November through special events and recognition of their service and sacrifice.
The city’s annual Veterans Day Celebration will take place Tuesday, Nov. 10, from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the Marysville Opera House, 1225 Third St. This free event welcomes veterans, service members, their families and community members who wish to show their appreciation. Complimentary coffee and light snacks will be provided. Register in advance here.
On Veterans Day, Wednesday, Nov. 11, American Legion Post 178, 119 Cedar Ave., will host a program honoring veterans and their families from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., followed by a free lunch. Attendees are encouraged to bring nonperishable food donations for the Marysville Food Pantry.
The Marysville City Council also recognized November as Military Family Appreciation Month through a proclamation issued Oct. 26, honoring the strength, resilience and sacrifices of families who support loved ones serving in the military. Read the proclamation.
Marysville city offices will be closed Wednesday, Nov. 11, in observance of Veterans Day.
Marysville is proud to honor those who have served our country and the families who stand beside them. Community members are encouraged to take part in these opportunities to share gratitude and recognize their contributions.
