EVERETT, WA – On Friday, December 4, Rep. Rick Larsen (WA-02) will host a virtual open enrollment info session on how Washingtonians can sign up for health and dental insurance for 2021 under the Affordable Care Act. Experts from the Washington Health Benefit Exchange, Washington State Office of the Insurance Commissioner and Sea-Mar Community Health Centers will join Larsen to answer questions about open enrollment.
Washingtonians can enroll in coverage through Washington Healthplanfinder, Washington’s statewide health insurance exchange, now through December 15, 2020. Washington Healthplanfinder also connects Washingtonians with trained navigators to help find the right coverage for themselves and their families. New health insurance coverage will take effect on January 1, 2021.
According to the Washington Health Benefit Exchange, more than 182,000 Washingtonians have signed up for 2021 coverage since November 1, including about 2,400 new customers. For more information about open enrollment, visit Washington Healthplanfinder at wahealthplanfinder.org. Eligible Washingtonians may also sign up for free or low-cost Washington Apple Health (Medicaid) coverage year-round at wahealthplanfinder.org.
