Update to rash a residential burglaries in Lynnwood

Lynnwood, Wash., December 2, 2020 – Last night around 5:30 p.m., the Lynnwood Police Department received a 911 call about a suspicious subject in a backyard in the 5300 block of 170th Place SW which is near Meadowdale High School and the same area that’s been targeted by this thief or thieves throughout the month of November.

Officers were on scene within seconds, and LPD began getting reports of the suspect hopping fences and running through backyards. Multiple K-9 tracks as well as air searches (helicopter and drone) were unfortunately unsuccessful.

The suspect broke into one home in the area before the search scared him off. We want to thank YOU, our community, for your vigilance! Your updates were key in helping officers follow the suspect’s path. Some of you also provided surveillance footage from the timeframe, but what we really need is video that may help us identify this individual.

Remember: check your cameras! Make sure your motion lights will activate! And if you believe you have information about any of these burglaries, please contact Detective Sergeant Dickinson: jdickinson@lynnwoodwa.gov or 425-754-9458.
