Suspect arrested in early morning Everett shooting

EVERETT, Wash., January 14, 2021 – One man is injured after an early morning shooting in Everett, WA. The northbound bus and carpool lane in the 11800 block of Airport Rd was closed to traffic for several hours during the investigation.

Just before 3:00 a.m. this morning, 911 received a report of a shooting at the bus stop in the 11800 block of Airport Rd. Arriving officers found an adult male, who had been shot, and quickly located the male suspect in a nearby business after a short K-9 search.

The victim, in his mid-40’s, was transported to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett where he underwent surgery and is expected to survive.

The suspect, in his late 30’s, was arrested and booked into the Snohomish County Jail on probable cause for assault.

Major Crimes detectives continue to investigate the incident to determine what precipitated the shooting.
