Caitlein Ryan announces a Campaign Kickoff Event

Mukilteo, Wash. – Mukilteo City Council Candidate, Caitlein Ryan has officially announced her run for elected office and is inviting the Mukilteo Community to a Campaign Kickoff Event to be held on Thursday June 24th, 2021, at 92nd Street Park in Mukilteo from 6pm – 8pm.

The Community Event will include free pizza, a rock-painting station and other fun games, and will be emceed by local comedian and distinguished mistress of ceremonies Kate Carlson Carlsen! Special guests will include Snohomish County Treasurer and former Mayor of Mukilteo Brian Sullivan, Current Mayor Jennifer Gregerson and 21st District State Representative Strom Peterson, among others.

“Caitlein understands the needs of Mukilteo Residents, and as a working mother of four with kids in Elementary, Middle School and High school all in the Mukilteo School district she brings a needed perspective to the council. I am excited to see that she has decided to run, and I look forward to supporting her along the way!” – Snohomish County Treasurer Brian Sullivan.

In addition to hearing from special guests, Caitlein will lay out her platform issues and vision for a Mukilteo that works for everyone. With the campaign motto of “A Rising Tide Lifts All Boats,” Caitlein is ready to bring meaningful solutions to the city’s most pressing issues with a pragmatic and balanced approach that is representational of all those who call Mukilteo home.

“I have worked with Caitlein on a number of issues during the last few legislative sessions and I’ve been impressed with her ability to bring stakeholders together and find common ground. This is not only a skill that will benefit the Mukilteo City Council, but it is a great benefit to our local community as well,” said event Co-Host Strom Peterson.

When asked why she chose to host a live kick-off instead of a virtual one Caitlein responded with, “We are all starving for personal connection, and as we are starting to see some things getting back to near normal, and as more of our community members are getting vaccinated, I wanted to hold an event that could bring us together! I thought about some of my favorite parts of Mukilteo: friends, family, food and laughter at one of my favorite city parks. I am just hoping that folks can find the time to join me and my family for some laughter, rock painting and free pizza!”

While the pizza and laughs are free, the event does require an RSVP to ensure there are enough slices and fun to go around. The campaign also asks that those in attendance observe and follow all recommended CDC and Department of Health Guidelines for Social Distancing and Mask Wearing during the event. “Keeping our community safe has to always be our number one goal,” noted Ryan. “We can do this, and still make it fun!” she concluded.
