LYNNWOOD, Wash., July 23, 2023—Leading diversified professional services and investment management company Colliers is pleased to announce the sale of Northlynn Mini-Storage, a self-storage property in the Lynnwood area. Colliers’ De Jong – Becher Self Storage Team, consisting of Jacob Becher, Nate Fliflet, Dana Chobor and Tom de Jong, represented the seller, Lanswell Development Corporation, in negotiations with the buyer, GCP SecureSpace Properties LLC.
Located at 15620 Highway 99, the 57,700 square-foot facility contains ground-floor units consisting of drive-up and interior units ranging from 5’x5’ to 10’x20, and two dozen rentable parking spaces. A substantial renovation is planned for this property, designed to enhance appeal for the 134,000 people living within three miles of the facility. The property will be rebranded as SecureSpace Self Storage Lynnwood.
“SecureSpace Lynnwood represents our eighth store in the Seattle MSA, strategically located between SecureSpace Everett to the north and SecureSpace Lake City to the south,” said SecureSpace’s Managing Director, Nathan McElmurry. “The robust multifamily pipeline in the immediate area lends further credence to the transformation underway in this growing neighborhood.”
The property’s leasing office will be upgraded to SecureSpace’s signature contemporary style and its proprietary high-security platform will be installed, including AI-enabled cameras and sensors with 24/7 monitoring. High-speed free WiFi access will be added to provide guests with connectivity throughout the facility.
“We were thrilled to have been selected to represent Lanswell Development Corp. in facilitating this transaction and look forward to the new direction the rebranded property will take on under its new ownership,” said Colliers’ Becher. “The team leveraged long-term national relationships with top storage operators in the Pacific Northwest, resulting in a win-win transaction for both buyer and seller that’s sure to complement the immediate area and provide a robust contribtution to this community.”
