Mill Creek Detective asking public for help in fatal motorcycle accident

MILL CREEK, Wash., September 11, 2023—Mill Creek Police are asking the public for information regarding the fatal motorcycle collision on Bothell-Everett Highway on Thursday evening.

On September 7, 2023, at 7:30 pm, Mill Creek Police Department (MCPD) officers responded to a vehicle versus motorcycle collision at 153rd St SE and Bothell-Everett Highway. A dark blue SUV was turning left onto 153rd St SE when a motorcycle traveling northbound on Bothell-Everett Hwy struck the SUV. A 26-year-old white male motorcyclist sustained severe injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by medical aid.

The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s office announced Monday that the victim is 27-year-old Matthew A. Hamilton of Everett. The cause of death is blunt force injuries as a result of Thursday’s accident. The driver of the SUV sustained minor injuries.

The investigation is ongoing, and the Mill Creek Detective is asking anyone with information about the collision to contact the SNO-911 non-emergency line at 425-407-3999.

  1. This is so sad. I knew this young man when he was in his teens as his father owned many gyms. I cannot imagine this happening to parents. I wish his soul is looking down upon his sister and parents and others that knew him. Adventurer he was, he loved to talk about sports cars and fitness. Power lifter with medals and was on his way to own 3 health clubs his dad started in 90’s. What a loss. We love you Matt!
