Daniel Tappana is new Business Retention and Expansion Coordinator for EASC

EVERETT—Economic Alliance Snohomish County (EASC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Daniel Tappana as its new Business Retention and Expansion (BRE) Coordinator. Tappana brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of success in economic development and business growth strategies to the EASC team. His appointment is effective March 4, 2024.

Dan’s extensive background in economic development, project management, and business growth strategies makes him an ideal fit for this role,” says Wendy Poischbeg, Interim President and CEO of EASC. “We are confident that his experience will significantly contribute to our mission of fostering business development, job creation, and community growth throughout Snohomish County.”

Daniel Tappana joins EASC following a accomplished career, most recently as a Business Development Manager within the Aerospace Division at the State of Washington’s Department of Commerce. There, he played a key role in deploying over $2 million in state grant funding to support economic development, facilitating the creation of more than 3,000 jobs and nearly $1 billion in capital investment across the state.

Before his tenure with the State of Washington, Tappana served as a Project Manager for the State of Missouri’s Department of Economic Development. He was instrumental in deploying state resources, resulting in the creation of over 10,000 jobs and more than $2 billion in capital investment.

Tappana’s experience also extends to the international stage, having served as a Government Affairs Fellow with the Organization for International Investment in Washington, D.C. He significantly contributed to fostering domestic and international connections and strategic policy planning.

In his new role as BRE Coordinator at EASC, Tappana will lead a coordinated employer outreach process and advocate for solutions to the business climate and regional growth issues in advanced manufacturing and clean energy. Additionally, Tappana will play a pivotal role in recruitment, facilitating attraction projects, overseeing proposal processes and participating in trade shows to generate leads.
